“One morning, while on tour, I opened up Twitter and read a message from a fan of ours that she had been waiting in line overnight to see us. I had just made a batch of cold brew on our tour bus and thought I’d share some with her to help her start her day. She took one sip and her first response was, “This is so good! You should sell this!”

And so...Charlie Royal was born.
Well, almost.

As a guitarist in the Billboard-charting rock band, Sleeping with Sirens, Nick always loved coffee, drinking sugary versions of it multiple times a day while touring for decades all over the world. When the sugar and acidity became too much for his gut, he learned about cold brew and found the slow-steeped coffee was easy to drink black and felt much gentler on his stomach.

Nick soon became a cold brew obsessive, experimenting with brewing methods, grind sizes, and the specific coffee itself. He then discovered that as much as the cold brew itself, he adored the ritual of making it and the act of sharing it. And he wanted to spread that joy around.

With his two business partners, Brent and Grant, Nick created Charlie Royal, a cold brew company that makes the slow steeping process delightfully easy so you can make it at home or wherever this life takes you.
